AULA MP-W (MP W) — gaming mouse.
The AULA MP-W is a compact cloth mouse pad measuring 300 × 250 mm. This is a mouse-sized format rather than a full desk mat: it sits to the right of the keyboard and suits people who play and work at a high sensor sensitivity with short wrist movements.
The top is a speed-type cloth: AULA's own specification for the MP-W gives the surface as a speed type, meaning it is tuned for an easy, fast glide rather than for braking at the end of a swipe. The pad is 2 mm thick, so your hand rests almost at desk level and there is nothing to get used to.
The edge is stitched the whole way round — that is the weak point of any cloth pad, and the seam stops the fabric from fraying under daily rubbing from a sleeve or the edge of your palm. The print is WIND: a gold warrior mask on the left, a calligraphic character for wind and the word WIND on the right, and the AULA logo in the top right corner.

A 300 × 250 mm footprint
The MP-W takes up a little more desk than a sheet of A4. That size works when the mouse is set to a high sensitivity and you steer it with your wrist rather than your whole arm. It sits comfortably beside a full-size keyboard on a desk from 100 cm wide and leaves room for a wrist rest.

A speed-type cloth surface
AULA's specification gives the MP-W surface as a speed type. In practice that means a dense, smooth weave the mouse breaks away from with almost no effort and then tracks evenly across. Cloth like this is the better choice when quick corrections and a repeatable movement matter more than artificial braking at the end of a swipe.

The stitched edge
The perimeter is stitched with thread matched to the artwork. That seam solves the usual failure of cloth pads: without it the edge frays over time against a sleeve, the side of your palm and the mouse cable, and the fabric starts lifting off the base. The stitching stands less than a millimetre proud of the surface and does not catch the mouse.

The WIND print
The pad carries the WIND motif: a gold warrior mask with a glitch effect on the left, a calligraphic character for wind and the Latin word WIND on the right. Wind is one of the four elements of the classic military maxim, and AULA also makes the extended MP-WFFM pad that gathers all four: Wind, Forest, Fire and Mountain.
