Divoom SongBird-SE (SongBird SE) — portable speaker.
The Divoom SongBird-SE is a portable 18 W karaoke speaker that ships with two wireless microphones and a base they stand on. The body is shaped like a small handbag with a carry handle: 115 x 68 x 130 mm and 634 g, so it travels by the handle rather than in both hands.
A 24-bit processing system handles the sound, and that shows first of all in the vocals, which stay above the backing track. The microphones offer six vocal modes, and the set is not only meant for karaoke: Divoom describes the SongBird-SE as a speaker for singing, livestreaming and voice recording, so its soundcard-style mode is useful for creators too.
Connections are Bluetooth 5.2, an AUX cable or a TF card with backing tracks. Divoom rates the built-in 18 Wh battery at up to about 8 hours of speaker playback and up to about 11 hours of microphone use. Colours are black, purple and yellow, and both cables plus a gift bag are already in the box.

A speaker and two microphones in one box
The SongBird-SE arrives as a finished set: the speaker itself, two wireless microphones and a base they stand on. No receiver, stand or cables have to be bought separately, because the microphones are matched to this speaker. The base doubles as a holder, so the microphones do not scatter around the flat between parties.

18 watts and 24-bit processing
Output is 18 W, which is enough for a room, a kitchen or a small group in the yard. What matters more than the number is that the signal passes through a 24-bit processing system that looks after vocal clarity. That is why the voice stays on top of the backing track instead of dissolving into it at higher volume.

Not only karaoke: streams and recording
Divoom describes the SongBird-SE as a speaker for singing, live broadcasts and voice recording. The soundcard-style support keeps the voice cleaner while recording a track or talking to an audience, and two microphones let two people host together. For a small home setup that is noticeably more convenient than a separate speaker plus a separate microphone.

A handbag shape in three colours
The 115 x 68 x 130 mm body weighs 634 g and is carried by its arched handle, which is where the handbag comparison comes from. The colours are deliberately bright: black, purple and yellow. The set ships in a gift bag, so it can be handed over as a present with no extra wrapping.
