MOZA AB9 FFB Base.
The MOZA AB9 is a force feedback flight base that a grip mounts onto: the MH16, the MHG, or a third-party stick through an adapter. The grip itself is not included and is chosen separately. Two servo motors deliver up to 12 Nm of peak torque, so the loads on the stick change the way they do in flight — taxiing, the take-off run, turbulence and high-load manoeuvres.
The feel is shaped by MOZA's own MCLS (MOZA Control Loading System) algorithm across a ±20° working range, together with a high-resolution encoder. Segmented-winding servo motors keep cogging torque and torque ripple very low, and the sealed aviation-grade aluminium body runs without a fan, so the base stays quiet through long sessions. USB polling runs at 1000 Hz; 110–220 V AC input is converted to 36 V DC, with 216 W rated power.
The AB9 is PC only: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and 2020, X-Plane 12/11/10, DCS World, IL-2 Sturmovik, War Thunder and more. Consoles are not supported. It mounts to a desk with the optional table clamp or bolts to a cockpit rig. The body carries ports for a throttle and rudder pedals, and an indicator light reports base status. Everything is tuned in MOZA Cockpit software.
Two servo motors instead of a spring
In an ordinary joystick a spring creates the resistance, and it never changes. In the AB9 two servo motors with 12 Nm of peak torque create it, and the simulator drives them. The stick loads up with speed, goes light at low airspeed, shakes in turbulence and buffets before a stall. This is real load on your hand, not a rumble motor.

MCLS shapes the feel, not just the force
MCLS (MOZA Control Loading System) is MOZA's own control-loading algorithm. It turns simulator telemetry into stick force across the ±20° working range, so an aircraft feels different on the take-off run, in the cruise and on approach. In MOZA Cockpit you can change intensity and the response curve, and save a profile per aircraft type.

Quiet and cool: aluminium, no fan
The body is aviation-grade aluminium alloy and fully sealed — there is no fan inside. Segmented-winding servo motors keep cogging torque and ripple very low, so the base runs smoothly and very quietly. That matters when the cockpit lives in a shared room, or in a flat where you cannot make noise in the evening.

An open platform: pick your own grip
The base ships without a grip. A MOZA MH16 or MHG mounts on top, and third-party grips connect through an adapter — the ecosystem is open. Dedicated ports for a throttle and rudder pedals sit on the body, so no hub is needed. Mount it with the optional table clamp or bolt it into a cockpit rig.
