MOZA Active Shifter Knob.
The Active Shifter Knob changes what hardware you already own is for. The MOZA Active Shifter is not a separate device: it is the force feedback AB9 base plus this knob. Fit the knob, switch mode in MOZA Pit House, and a twin-motor flight stick base becomes a gearbox that pushes back against your hand, clicks as a gear engages and buzzes on a bad shift.
The knob comes in two shapes — spherical, and a long knurled cylinder. MOZA's specification lists the shift lever length per mode: 100 mm in H-pattern and 130 mm in sequential. The ball suits a hand moving across the gate; the long cylinder fills your fist and works better for pull-and-push shifts. Both are made from aluminium alloy and finished with a knurled locking collar at the base.
Installation takes seconds: the knob slips onto the base connector and tightens clockwise, and it can be removed and swapped for the other shape at any time. Note that the AB9 base itself is not included and is bought separately. The platform is PC, and H-pattern, sequential and handbrake modes are switched in the MOZA Pit House software.
The knob that makes a gearbox out of an AB9 base
The MOZA Active Shifter is not a separate box on a shelf. It is the force feedback AB9 base with this knob fitted on top. That is why, for an AB9 owner, moving up to an active shifter costs the price of an accessory rather than a new device. The knob comes off as fast as it goes on, and the base returns to being a flight stick.

Two shapes for two shifting styles
The two shapes are not styling. The ball is classic manual geometry: palm on top, hand moving across the gate. The knurled cylinder fills your fist, which suits pulling the lever towards you and pushing it away, prototype style. MOZA's specification gives the shift lever length per mode — 100 mm in H-pattern and 130 mm in sequential — so the knob shape feeds straight into how the movement feels.

Fitted in three movements
MOZA's instructions run to three lines: fit the knob onto the base connector, turn it clockwise to tighten, and swap the spherical knob for the long one if you prefer. No tools, no disassembly. The knurled collar at the base tightens by hand and holds the knob without play under load.

Tuning the feel in MOZA Pit House
All the shift mechanics live in software. In MOZA Pit House you pick the mode — H-pattern, sequential or handbrake — and tune resistance, damping and vibration. The active shifter's peak torque reaches 12 Nm, so the click of a gear engaging is felt in the hand, not just heard. Telemetry from the sim is read without third-party plug-ins.
