MOZA AY210 Yoke Base: description and configuration

MOZA AY210 Yoke Base.

The AY210 is the flagship yoke base in the MOZA FLIGHT line, built for general aviation and airliner flying. It holds the yoke handle and loads the controls itself, so the aircraft is felt through real force in your hands rather than through vibration.

Dual servo motors deliver 9 Nm of sustained roll torque and up to 210 N of pitch force across 150 mm of travel — full-size mechanics rather than a desktop imitation. A 280 MHz processor, a 15-bit magnetic encoder and 1000 Hz USB polling keep inputs precise: small corrections on final approach read as clearly as aggressive manoeuvres.

The housing is aluminium alloy, the base weighs 8 kg and draws 216 W. A yoke handle (MFY or MFY Pro) is purchased separately and locks onto the all-aluminium quick release. Mount the base with a desk clamp (optional), suspend it under the desktop or bolt it into a cockpit. PC only.

Force instead of vibration

The AY210 is built around dual servo motors and MOZA's own MCLS system, which calculates the load on the controls. The base holds 9 Nm of sustained roll torque and produces up to 210 N on the pitch axis — roughly 21 kg of push and pull. Airflow over the wing, a stall, the re-trim after the flaps come up: all of it arrives as a change in load rather than as a pattern of vibration.

150 mm of travel and a full 180° turn

The yoke moves 150 mm in pitch and turns ±90° in roll — 180° in total, the way a real cockpit does. The long travel matters more than the torque figure: it leaves room for smooth work in the flare and lets you meter the input instead of throwing the handle from stop to stop.

13 switches within reach

The front panel carries 13 physical switches. Every one of them is programmable in MOZA Cockpit — lighting, gear, flaps, telemetry or long-press commands. That moves half of the take-off and landing workload off the keyboard and keeps your hands on the yoke.

Quick release and your choice of handle

The handle sits on an all-aluminium quick release borrowed from motorsport: push, turn, and the yoke is off — no tools. The base works with the MOZA Yoke Series, MFY and MFY Pro. They are sold separately, so you can build to your budget now and change the handle later without touching the base.

What you need to get started

The base weighs 8 kg and pushes 210 N, so it needs a solid surface: a desktop or suspended clamp (both optional) or a cockpit mount. It runs from 110–220 V mains through a 36 V supply and draws up to 216 W. It connects to the PC over USB, while throttles, rudder pedals and MOZA panels plug into the base's own ports.
