MOZA ES Formula Wheel Mod.
The MOZA ES Formula Wheel Mod is a kit that turns a MOZA ES, ES Lite or ESX wheel into a formula-shaped one. The round rim is replaced by a cut-out aluminium plate in formula form, 280 mm across, with two side grips. On the official MOZA site the kit is sold as the Formula Wheel Mod for ES, ES Lite & ESX.
The plate is made from aviation-grade aluminium and the grips from ergonomic rubber shaped around the fingers. Your hands settle into the nine-and-three position of a formula car, and the cut-outs leave every button and encoder on the ES wheel free to reach.
One thing to keep in mind: this is a mod, not a finished wheel. The ES, ES Lite or ESX wheel itself, the base and the quick release stay yours — the mod only changes the shape of the rim. The formula rim also fits the ESX wheel used on Xbox, so a console setup does not have to be rebuilt.
A formula grip position
A round rim makes you shuffle your hands; a formula rim does not. The 280 mm cut-out plate puts your hands at nine and three and keeps them there: in GT3, single-seaters and cars with a short lock you barely need to cross over. The shape follows a real formula wheel, flat top and bottom edges included.

Aluminium and rubber, not plastic
The plate is cut from aviation-grade aluminium, so the rim does not flex under load. The side grips are ergonomic rubber with a finger profile: your palm lands in the same place every time, and the covering is softer and warmer than bare metal.

Every wheel control stays within reach
The mod changes only the shape of the rim. The ES wheel's centre panel — buttons, d-pad, encoders and the shift indication — stays exposed, because the cut-outs in the plate are shaped around it. The control layout does not move, so there is nothing to rebind in game after fitting.

What you are actually buying
The box holds the mod itself — the formula plate with its grips — not a finished wheel. The ES, ES Lite or ESX wheel, the base and the pedals have to be in place already. If you do not own the wheel yet, it is worth buying it together with the mod, otherwise the kit will simply sit unused until the main part arrives.
